Head Guards & Ear Guards
Head and ear guards, often referred to as headgear, are worn by MMA fighters to protect their face and head from injuries. It’s important to note that headgear primarily guards against cuts, scrapes, swelling, and other superficial injuries. The headgear shouldn’t be considered a primary defence against concussions and head trauma. Ear guards have been around for a long time, they are now made with newer technologies which means you get extended features like protection from abrasions and even shock absorption. They’re made from leather and vinyl in sizes ranging from small to extra large. One-size-fits-all options are also available. Colors include black, red, blue, brown, and more. The main purpose of the headgear is to prevent superficial injuries to the face and head. It does not make a person less liable to receiving a concussion or prevent the trauma taken to the head.
